GIFs are one of my favorite things - it's basically a picture file that plays as a quick animation.
I create GIFs all the time, like the ones below, using my own images from Google Photos.
Note: If you are not already using Google Photos, I HIGHLY encourage that you to do so. It's free and users can store unlimited images and videos using a Google account. To find out how to get started with Google Photos, click HERE.
To create a GIF (Google Photos calls these animations), go to photos.google.com or open the Google Photos app on your device, then, click on the Assistant tab. Within this section, users can create albums, collages, animations and more.
Now, click the Animation button.
The page will refresh showing all of your photos. Click the images that you would like to include in the animation. Keep in mind that the order in which you check the photos is the order in which they will appear in the GIF. Once you have selected all of the photos for the animation, click Create.
Your new animation will load and will automatically be saved into your photos library. If you would like to download the animation, or add it to an album, hover over the right corner of the screen and click the three dots.
If you want to create an animation with pictures from a specific album that is easy, too. Open the album and select the images that you want to use. Then, click the + sign and select Animation.
