As a former elementary teacher I LOVE COLOR so I have been color coding my Google Drive folders for years. But, did you know that you can also add emojis to the folder names for even more organization opportunities?!
You can use letters, numbers, images, or any of the above - it's totally up to you!
Note: Macbook offers color emoji options, too! The images/emojis will definitely work on Windows, too, but they will appear black and white rather than in color.

To add a little fun to your folder names, head over to www.copypastecharacter.com. There are hundreds of characters to choose from so there is a good chance that you will find a symbol that works for every folder!
Search through the different categories to find just the right symbol.
Once you find the symbol that you want highlight it, right click, and then Copy (or Ctrl + C).
Now, go to your Drive. If you want to add a new folder, click the blue New button and select Folder.
Name the folder. Then, place your cursor where you would like the special character to be and hold Ctrl + V to paste the character into the text field. Finally, click Create and see your new folder!
If you already have a folder and you would like to add a character to it, simply right click on the folder and select Rename. Then, place your cursor where the special character should be and hold Ctrl + V. Viola!
Finally, if you want to change the color of the folder, right click on the folder and select Change color. Select a color and watch the color magic!
